FUMS,
a faith-based shoe company that provides free shoes for American
children in need, is introducing a line of women's and men's leather
flip flops. For every pair of flip flops purchased through their
website, FUMS gives a pair of shoes to a child in need somewhere in the
United States, PAIR for PAIR.
The flip flops are the
first FUMS sandals offered for men and women. FUMS flip flops feature
genuine leather uppers, comfort cushioning midsoles and durable rubber
outsoles for the ultimate in style, comfort and durability. FUMS also
offers interchangeable shoes (zipper shoes) for women and toddlers. Each
shoe line is part of the PAIR for PAIR program that serves American
children.
To date in 2013, FUMS
has distributed new shoes to 150 children in New Orleans and 160
children in West Tennessee, working with their two partners - The Greer
Campaign and Samaritan's Feet. At the most recent shoe drop in Jackson,
Tenn., 95 volunteers served. They shared encouragement and Christ's
love, as they washed the children's feet and presented each child with a
pair of shoes. The event was also held in conjunction with the City of
Jackson's Month of Miracles. Anyone interested in hosting a shoe drop
can learn more by emailing shoedrops@dhwf.org.
Mitch and Lisa Miller
founded FUMS in 2010 as a division of Doing His Work First. Their
mission is to spread Christ's love and be an impetus for inspiring
positive change in the lives of others. In addition to their website , the Millers discuss FUMS on Facebook.
